The Cape football team dropped to 6-3 with a 35-7 loss to Dover Nov. 3 in the state capital.
The Senators’ John Parker tallied four touchdowns in the game. He opened the game’s scoring with a three-yard TD in the first quarter. Quarterback Nahseem Cosme connected with Parker in the second quarter for an 87-yard catch and score. Parker added a third touchdown just before halftime from five yards out.
Dover extended its lead in the third quarter when Ja'Khai Tilghman returned a punt 89 yards for a score. Parker broke loose for a 54-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter to extend the Senators’ lead to 35-0.
Cape finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter when quarterback Jameson Tingle caught a pass from Brenn Scott for a 20-yard touchdown.
The Vikings wrap up the regular season Saturday, Nov. 11, when they travel to St. Georges Tech to take on the 2-7 Hawks.
