Cape major all-stars fall to Millsboro to open District 3 tourney

The Cape major all-stars softball squad dropped its opening District 3 tournament game with a 15-1 loss to Millsboro June 30 in Milton.
Millsboro’s Madison Hitchens tossed a no-hitter and struck out 11 batters in the first-round victory. Eva McCabe had three RBIs to lead her team.
Ainsley Clem went three innings in the circle for the Cape squad, striking out six batters.
Arden MacPhee snagged two stolen bases, while Alexia Crossen and Avery Harp each had one. The Cape team garnered five walks.
