Cape Soccer Camp a booting success

Doubles in size since last year
July 30, 2017

In its second year, the Cape Soccer Camp numbers have increased from 12 to 24. During the camp, future all-stars worked on passing/receiving, finishing, defending and possession. Coach Scott Bleile was present for two days to help run goalkeeper training.

“I feel as though the camp was a great success,” said director Patrick Kilby. “I am focused on including the youth from our community to build our soccer program at Cape Henlopen High School. I would like to thank Surf Bagel, King’s Ice Cream and SnoYo for their contributions to the camp.”

The proceeds from the camp will pay for the Cape Henlopen soccer team’s overnight trip to Philadelphia, where they will tour Drexel University. While there, the team will meet the soccer coach and see the athletic facilities. They will also travel to the Peddie School in New Jersey for a nonconference contest.
