Captrust donates $10,000 to Harry K Foundation
The Captrust Community Foundation recently presented a $10,000 donation to the Harry K Foundation.
Harry Keswani established the Harry K Foundation to help combat food insecurity for children in Delaware. Having grown up with a deep awareness of poverty, especially among children, Keswani’s commitment to service was instilled in him by his parents. The foundation aims to provide support to those who are often left without meals outside of school hours.
Captrust Principal Catherine Seeber, based in Lewes, presented the check to Keswani.
“We chose to support the Harry K Foundation due to Harry's inspiring commitment to addressing hunger among children in Sussex, Kent and New Castle counties. It is truly admirable listening to his personal journey and learning how his initiative has grown exponentially over the past 11 years,” said Seeber.
Based in Rehoboth Beach, the foundation now supports 52 pantries statewide, and its backpack program provides 700 children with nonperishable food for weekends, holidays and summer breaks.
“Our mission is to support families that hover around the poverty line but are still struggling to meet their needs,” said Keswani. “We are thrilled to have the support of Catherine and Captrust, which will allow us to help more families.”
