Charlotte J. Collins, retired cafeteria manager
Charlotte J. Collins, 90, of Milford, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born Nov. 9, 1934, in Georgetown, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Harry J. Johnson and the late Emma Marker. She was the widow of Norman N. Collins; they were married in 1954.
Charlotte worked at the Cape Henlopen School District for 40 years as a cafeteria manager.
Charlotte was a member of White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Milton.
Charlotte is survived by her two children, Jane Chorman, wife of Raymond, and Mary Collins, wife of John; a sister, Loreta Workman; five grandchildren, John and his wife Amanda, Erin and her husband Marcelus, Brittany and her husband Brian, DaWonne, and Keonne; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and her husband, Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughters, Norma Lee Collins and Carol Daisey; and her siblings.
Funeral services for Charlotte were held Monday, Jan. 20, at Short Funeral Services in Milton. Burial was at White’s Chapel Cemetery.
