Charlotte Mae Park, devoted to family
Charlotte Mae Park, 81, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford after a brief and valiant fight with cancer. She was born Thursday, Jan. 30, 1936, in Cicero, Ill., daughter of the late Elmer and Joanne (Folgers) Belsan.
Charlotte met Joseph E. Park, the love of her life, in Cicero. They married Sept. 20, 1952, and lived in Islip, N.Y., where they raised their family. They retired to Lewes in 1991 to enjoy their golden years. Charlotte was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Charlotte is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Joseph E. Park of Lewes; her children: Shirley Park (William) of Harbeson, Joyce Mlodynia (John) of Commack, N.Y., Joseph Park Jr. of Islip, and Betty-Jean Park (Kraig) of Fort Myers, Fla.; her grandchildren: James Park, John Mlodynia (Kimberli), and April Mlodynia; and her great-grandchildren: Haley and Alina Mlodynia, and Kali and Chloe Park.
All services will be private with arrangements handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Charlotte's memory to Long Neck United Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
