Cheryl Jeannette Fettinger and Carl Michael McMinn unite in marriage
Cheryl Jeannette Fettinger and Carl Michael McMinn were united in marriage Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at The Inn at Narrow Passage in Woodstock, Va.
The bride’s grandfather, the Rev. Robert T. Mylod of Lewes, and her mother, Meredith R. Baer of Woodstock officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The groom is the son of Mr. Michael A. McMinn of Toms Brook, Va., and Ms. Lori Conrad of Mt. Jackson, Va. The scripture readings were performed by the bride’s G-Ma, Mrs. Cathey Mylod of Lewes, and the groom’s father, Michael McMinn. The bride’s aunt and uncle, Irene and Michael Raine of Lewes, were the photographers.
The bride wore a strapless ivory chiffon gown with beading on the bodice and a chapel-length train. Her bouquet consisted of Stargazer lilies, red roses, and white wax flowers. Maid of honor was Amanda Haines, the bride’s close friend, of Mt. Jackson. Bridesmaid was Rachael McMinn, the groom’s sister, of Mt. Jackson. They both wore fuchsia, above-the-knee sleeveless dresses and carried a heart-shaped kissing ball of fuchsia and red and white roses.
Best man was Jake Woodson, the groom’s close friend, of Strasburg, Va. The groomsman was Norman Burns, the groom’s cousin-in-law, of Woodstock. The usher was David Barker, friend of the groom, of Gainesville, Va. A reception was held following the ceremony at the Holiday Inn of Woodstock.
The couple now reside in Woodstock.
