Chesapeake Plumbing and Heating appears on Inc. 5000 list

For the third straight year, Inc. magazine has placed Chesapeake Plumbing and Heating Inc. on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy's most dynamic segment - its independent small and midsized businesses. Companies such as Microsoft, Dell, Domino's Pizza, Pandora, Timberland, LinkedIn, Yelp, Zillow and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees of the Inc. 5000.

Locally, 16 Delaware companies qualified for inclusion on the 2017 Inc. 5000 list. Of those, Chesapeake ranked eighth statewide and first for Sussex County. In the previous two years, Chesapeake was recognized as the sixth fastest-growing Delaware company. According to the publishers, only 20 percent of companies named to the list qualify three times.
