Chick-fil-A to give out shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child Oct. 30
Delaware Chick-fil-A will be part of a nationwide early Christmas, partnering with Operation Christmas Child Tuesday, Oct. 30. Milford, Millsboro and Rehoboth Beach Chick-fil-A restaurants will be providing shoeboxes for customers to pick up from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day. Customers take home the shoeboxes, fill them with small Christmas gifts for children around the world who are struggling in difficult circumstances and then return the filled OCC shoeboxes to the same Chick-fil-A the following Tuesday, Nov. 6.
When turning in a filled OCC shoebox Nov. 6, a customer can earn a free food item as indicated by that particular Chick-fil-A location.
At each of the three restaurants, Chick-fil-A customers will meet a representative of Operation Christmas Child who will give information about the ministry, and explain how to fill the shoeboxes.
Shoeboxes must be returned on Nov. 6, as Chick-fil-A has no room for shoebox storage. If customers miss the Nov. 6 date, they can go to www.samaritanspurse.org to search local drop-off locations available during OCC National Drop-Off week Monday, Nov. 12, to Monday, Nov. 19.
