Christopher Stephen Pepe, man of honor, integrity

Christopher Stephen Pepe, 33, of Tampa, Fla., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018.

Born in Christiana, June 23, 1985, he was the son of Stephen Pepe and Diane Brooks.  Chris graduated from Glasgow High School in 2003, University of Delaware in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and earned his master’s degree from Arizona State University in 2018 in Information Management.  

A man of honor and integrity, Chris served in the Delaware Air National Guard in the U.S. Air Force.  He loved his country and served with pride. Chris spent his career as an operations liaison officer with Air Forces Cyber, a government analyst; team lead with Thomson Reuters Special Services; and most recently with ARMA Global, a General Dynamics subsidiary as a senior data analyst.  He was also active in the 166th Network Warfare Squadron, Air National Guard as an intelligence analyst officer.

Chris was athletic and enjoyed hunting, running, hiking, traveling, lacrosse, snowboarding and went to the gym every day.  He was an avid Redskins fan and held out hope to the end that they would someday win the Super Bowl.  He loved his family and friends with his whole heart and soul, and lived each day with vigor.  Chris will be truly missed each and every day.

He is survived by his parents, Stephen Pepe (Chrissy) of Millsboro, and Diane Brooks (Gov) of Newark; sister, Rebecca Brooks of Newark; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until noon, Thursday, Sept. 13, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 121 West Park Place, Newark, where a memorial service will begin at noon.  Interment will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
