Community Bank Delaware celebrates 18th anniversary

Community Bank Delaware employees celebrated 18 years of local banking June 6. The staff participated in a spirit week comprising fun dress days, cookies for customers and a special cake-cutting ceremony.

“It has really been a fun week that employees and customers enjoyed. The idea came from our frontline staff members,” said President Jack Riddle.

Community Bank Delaware opened its doors June 5, 2006, in a renovated gas station at the intersection of Route 1 and Kings Highway. The building was eventually leveled to make room for the new branch and corporate offices, located at 16982 Kings Hwy. in Lewes.

In July 2007, Community Bank Delaware opened a second branch in Rehoboth Beach. The present-day Rehoboth Beach branch opened in February 2021, located at 30099 Veterans Way.  

Community Bank Delaware was approved to open a Long Neck Branch in June 2022 and a Seaford branch in April 2024; both branches are under construction.
