Community Bank Delaware announced the promotion of David Van Pelt to assistant vice president/lender.
Van Pelt joined the bank in 2016. Most recently, he held the position of Lewes branch manager, to include developing and managing customer relations.
With over 23 years in business development, Van Pelt has built a reputation on excellence in client service and fostering strong relationships with his customers. “It is a pleasure to announce the promotion of Dave to our lending team. Dave’s local background coupled with his lending experience and commitment to community banking gives him a good understanding of our market and what makes our area unique,” said Jack Riddle, president.
Van Pelt will be working out of the bank’s main office in Lewes, where he will focus on development of its consumer and small business lending base throughout Sussex County.
He is a 1980 Cape Henlopen High School graduate and a 1985 graduate of the University of Delaware. He is active in Crossroad Community Church and involved in coaching for Milton Little League. He lives in Georgetown with his wife Pam and their two children.
