October 2, 2024

The annual Sussex County Pageants are seeking contestants to take part in the 2025 event set for 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, at the CHEER Center in Georgetown. The deadline to register is Saturday, Oct. 12; registration forms can be found at bit.ly/SussexCountyPageant2025.

Areas of competition include a private interview, on-stage formal wear, talent and fitness wear (Junior Miss only). Talent can be a song, dance, cheer routine, art presentation, karate, poetry or anything special one would like to share.

The pageant is open to Sussex County residents ages 4-12 in three divisions: Little Miss (4-6), Juvenile Miss (7-9) and Junior Miss (10-12). The reigning 2024 title holders are Jorja Truitt and Alice Baich of Rehoboth Beach, and Savannah Howard of Lewes.

The pageant began in 2000 as a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic. The winners will serve their communities throughout the year by helping with service projects.
