David John Cunningham, retired executive

David John Cunningham, 70, of Lewes, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2017, in the peace of his own home.

Born Sept. 25, 1946, the oldest of seven, David was an alumni of Villanova University and graduated with an MBA from RPI in Troy New York. He was CFO at First Albany Corporation in Albany, N.Y., retiring after 23 years of service. He then was COO at Janney Montgomery Scott in Philadelphia where he retired in 2007. He enjoyed spending his free time playing golf and supporting his community by volunteering to do tax preparation.

Predeceased by parents Ann Marie and Francis Cunningham, David leaves behind his beloved daughters Kate, Colleen and Elizabeth; granddaughter Alma Louise; siblings Michael, Jane, Edward, Anne, Marion and Joe; many nieces and nephews; and his friend and former wife, Ann Connair Cunningham.
