David Roy Sterner Jr., outgoing people person

Mr. David Roy Sterner Jr., 39, of Chula Vista, Calif., passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. He is survived by his loving longtime girlfriend, Celeste Amorsolo.

Born in Salisbury, Md., Sept. 18, 1977, he was a son of the late David Roy Sterner Sr. and Sylvia Powers. He is also predeceased by a daughter, Nevaeh Sterner. David is survived by three children, Devin Daisey of Georgetown, Romulus Winchester of Georgetown and Ava Sinnott of Millsboro; two brothers, Jesse Sterner of Los Angeles, Calif., and Edward Sterner of Hagerstown, Md.; a sister Sylvia Sterner (Luis Santos) of Painter, Va.; three nephews, CJ and David Roberts, and Luis Santos Jr., all of Painter; and one niece, Serenity Santos, also of Painter.

David grew up in the small town of Quinby, Va., and was known for being quite the daredevil by all who knew him. He went on to live in many places, including Delaware, Maryland, Michigan and California.

David was a man of many talents and loved giving a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was incredibly passionate and proud of his family.

David enjoyed working with his hands in construction, and loved to fix and figure things out. He had a unique sense of humor that brightened the days of those who knew and loved him. He was a protector and an outgoing people person. He strived to make everyone feel welcome. He will be greatly missed by many.

David was always ready for a challenge. He was known for saying, "No matter your circumstances, life goes on." That is what David would want us to do. David bettered himself, had found God, and was genuinely happy. His happiness can now live on as he reunited with his loved ones.
