David Wade to speak at Australia travel program May 11
David Wade of Accent On Travel in Rehoboth Beach recently became a certified Travel Expert through Signature Travel Network, a global travel organization. This designation represents Wade's commitment to continuing his education in the travel profession and bringing first-class travel services to clients.
The Signature Travel Expert certification course, consisting of 15 modules exclusively for travel professionals, teaches the skills required to fully leverage travel partnerships with thousands of hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and on-the-ground specialists around the world. The program prepares travel professionals for booking complex travel itineraries while securing the best travel privileges available such as accommodation upgrades, special pricing, free meals, and exclusive experiences at the destinations or on cruises.
In conjunction with the STN training, Wade and Accent On Travel owner Annette Nero Stellhorn selected specific destinations and types of travel training for Wade to fulfill the needs of Accent On Travel travelers. Wade has joined Nero Stellhorn as the agency's third official Aussie Specialist, the Australia Tourism Board's certified destination specialist program focusing in all aspects of travel Down Under, from cultural touring and sightseeing to culinary and wine experiences, golf, wildlife viewing, snorkeling, diving and luxury resort stays on Australia's mainland or private islands.
Nero-Stellhorn said, "Professional training translates into money savings and expert advice for our clients. It is an investment that pays off daily when our clients talk about the amazing experiences and privileges this training and the connections associated with it provide them."
In addition to the certification courses, Wade participates in Signature University, an ongoing learning program for travel professionals. Educational Journeys provides the opportunity to travel to a destination with local managers and training guides, which are a requirement for all Accent On Travel staff. These intense travel programs provide consultants hands-on destination and travel product training to share valuable insights and firsthand recommendations with clients during their initial consultation or their pretravel departure meeting. Wade will completed his first Educational Journey when he traveled to England and Scotland in April.
"From complex multi-destination itineraries to luxurious getaways, I have the tools and resources to book one-of-a-kind vacations that save my clients time and money. I am thrilled my clients depart with the peace of mind knowing that their vacation plans are in expert hands," said Wade.
Wade will speak at the Rehoboth Beach Film Society's Cinema Arts Theater during the Accent On Travel See The World Series program on Australia set for 3:45 p.m., Thursday, May 11. The cost to attend is $5 per person, 100 percent of which benefits the film society. Those attending will hear about the best choices to see Down Under by cruise or guided experiences, weather considerations and how to get visas to visit. Seating is limited.
