Debra M. Evans, kind, loving soul

Debra M. Evans, also known as Deb, Debbie, Mama D, Madre, Momma, DJ Deb, of Millsboro, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022. Debbie was born in Chester, Pa., April 2, 1953, to the late Augustine and Bernice Costa. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her nephew, Adam Argiroudis in 2004.  

She will be remembered for her faith in God, love of music, all things Elvis, the kindness she bestowed to all, her love for her family, her witty personality, her dance moves, her flirtatious personality and cooking the best meals ever.

Debbie is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Hernandez (Jason) of Millsboro, Desiree Pilgrim (Jason) of Millsboro, and Destiny O'Hagan (Zach) of Seaford; three grandchildren who were her world, Jason A. Hernandez “JJ,” Jasmine Hernandez “Jazzy,” Aria O'Hagan “Ari”; two brothers, James Costa and Daniel (Linda) Costa; two sisters, Linda Costa-Argiroudis and Karen (Kenny) Subers; and many nieces and nephews.  

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, at Pot-Nets Lakeside Community Center, 33076 Rock Cove, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Heart Association or American Kidney Fund.
