Decked Out to benefit Center for the Inland Bays Sept. 12

September 5, 2024

The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays will celebrate its 30th anniversary, known as the pearl year, at its annual Decked Out fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach.

The fun will include Inland Bays oysters, tasty light fare, an open bar and an amazing sunset over Rehoboth Bay. Popular local musicians Reedo and the Back Bay Trio will provide entertainment. In addition to live and silent auctions comprising distinctive bay-inspired experiences, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an art raffle and win one-of-a-kind pieces from local and regional artists.

Proceeds will benefit the center’s efforts to preserve, protect and restore the Inland Bays and their watershed through science-based research, restoration, education, outreach, public policy and advocacy.

“The 30th anniversary is a significant milestone for us,” said Mark Carter, center director of development. “Decked Out is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in celebration of the work we’ve accomplished and to support the continued care of our invaluable Inland Bays for future generations.”
