Delaware Botanic Gardens hosted its annual Sip & Saunter June 20. The event featured beer, wine and cocktail stations provided by Dogfish Head, catering by Good Earth Market and music by Vincent Varrassi.
The gardens, at 30220 Piney Neck Road, Dagsboro, are open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, with guided tours each day beginning at 10 a.m.
For more information, go to delawaregardens.org, call 302-321-9061, or email Executive Director Sheryl Swed at sherylswed@delawaregardens.org.
An eagle camera will be installed at the gardens in the fall. Helping that take place are Delaware Botanic Gardens members Mike and Sue Masciandaro, left, and Stacy and Richard Hoffman, who are making a donation in the name of the Rouben & Violet Jiji Foundation.
Work will soon begin on the gardens’ new pavilion. This is the construction team that’s going to make it happen.
