Delaware Shore Field Hockey summer league results
The Delaware Shore Junior Division concluded the season with the semifinals and championship games Thursday, July 7.
In the first semifinal game, the Hawks defeated the Eagles by a final of 4-0. Cassady Best scored the game-winner partway through the opening half of play, then Samie Jacona earned a hat trick in the second half with her three goals to finish out the scoring.
The second semifinal game was a 3-0 victory for the Ospreys over the Falcons. Isabella Kessler-Evans scored the game winner late in the opening half. Mia Carulli scored to end the first half and again late in the second half for the other goals for the Ospreys.
In the championship game, Cassady Best scored late in the second half to give the game to the Hawks by a final of 1-0.
Coming up in September will be the start of Delaware Shore's annual training program for girls in grades 1 through 6. Registration begins Monday, Aug. 1, at www.delawareshorefh.org.
