DelDOT no stranger to working on Five Points messes

Delaware’s Department of Transportation continues to work on engineering solutions to make traffic patterns in the Five Points area - where Route 9 crosses Route 1 - work more smoothly. This photograph from the early 20th century was made before a contract was let to improve the road surface in that area. Then, as now, the problems were obvious and improvements were sorely needed.
