Delmarva poet David Salner releases ‘Summer Words’
Local poet David Salner recently announced the release of “Summer Words: New and Selected Poems,” his fifth collection.
He will feature “Summer Words” at the Lakeside Community Homeowners craft fair set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 25, at Lakeside Community Center, 33076 Rock Cove, Millsboro.
Salner will take part in a reading along with poets Linda Blaskey and Irene Fick, at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 13, at the Georgetown Public Library.
Salner’s debut novel, “A Place to Hide,” won first place for historical fiction in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
He has worked as an iron ore miner, steelworker and librarian, and lives in Millsboro with his wife Barbara Greenway.
