Dewey Beer Company raises funds for Delaware Humane
Local brewery Dewey Beer Company recently presented a check for $8,527 to support homeless animals at Delaware Humane Association’s animal adoption center near Rehoboth Beach.
A First State favorite brewery with locations in Dewey Beach and Harbeson, Dewey Beer Company partnered with DHA for a Barks and Beer event at its Harbeson facility, where guests could meet and mingle with adoptable dogs.
The brewery also encouraged attendees to make direct donations to DHA to support animals in need.
In addition to the Barks and Beer event, Dewey Beer Company pooled all tips from their customer bills during the entire month of March, raising the total to an impressive $8,908.
“We are blown away by the generosity of Dewey Beer Company’s donation to DHA! This tremendous gift will have a significant impact on the animals’ lives who come into our care,” said Leigh Dempsey, Rehoboth adoption center director. “We are looking forward to a busy summer season full of lots of adoptions, and cherish the support of our animal loving friends at Dewey Beer Company.”
