Dewey Beach police officers Brooks Jenny and Gavin Vaughn received promotions at the Feb. 17 commissioners meeting.
Jenny, a 19-year veteran, was promoted to sergeant, said Lt. Billy Hocker during the presentation. Jenny began his career as a seasonal officer in 2002 and currently serves as the department’s field training officer.
Vaughn was promoted to corporal. He was originally hired as a seasonal officer in 2018 and enrolled in the Delaware State Police Academy that fall, Hocker said. He is the department’s Taser instructor.
