One person was trapped March 23 after a vehicle flipped off the roadway and onto Lewes Beach.
The crash happened about 2 a.m. in the area of 94 Bay Ave., according to the Lewes Fire Department. When firefighting units arrived, officials said, they found a vehicle that had rolled over several times, coming to rest on the passenger side about 25 yards off the roadway on Lewes Beach.
The driver was trapped and firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated the driver, who was taken to Beebe Healthcare, officials said.
