Donald Charles Justice, disabled Air Force veteran
Donald Charles Justice, 74, of Frederica passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at Renaissance Nursing Home in Millsboro, with family by his side.
Don was born in Philadelphia, Pa., June 25, 1944, to the late Memford C. and Dorothy B. Justice.
Don was raised in Lewes and attended Lewes High School. Don worked many years in the sales department of Draper King Cole in Milton. Don was a disabled veteran due to contracting agent orange as a result of his military service. Don was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving at Dover, Southeast Asia and Italy.
Don loved growing up in Lewes and all of the friends he made during his school years. Don loved the beach, traveling, animals, writing stories and poetry, and especially his family and Milford VFW friends. Don was also proud of his military service and that of his brothers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his life companion, Josephine Rawding; his brothers, Gerald; Robert, a Korean War veteran; and Albert, also a Korean War veteran. Don is survived by his daughter, Jennifer M. Justice of Richmond, Va.; brother, Rocky Justice, Coast Guard Vietnam veteran, and his wife Sharon of Millsboro; a nephew, Mark S. Justice of Georgetown; two nieces, Melinda S. Justice of Millsboro and Gloria Lanette McDorman of Millsboro; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.
A visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where the funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment with military honors will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
