Doris Faust Crisson, church member
Mrs. Doris Faust Crisson, 88, of Kernersville, N.C., died Saturday, July 9, 2011.
Mrs. Crisson was born July 28, 1922, in Clifton Heights, Pa. to Harry and Helen Howarth Faust. She moved to Winston-Salem, N.C. in 1987 and was a member of the Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Kernersville and a former member of Friedland Moravian Church in Winston-Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Alfred Stanley Crisson; her parents; and her older brother, Howard Faust.
Surviving are two daughters: Carol Crisson Fabian (Carl) of Greensboro, N.C. and Patricia Crisson King (Wilson of Kernersville; one son: James Edward Crisson (Kathleen) of Greensboro; three grandchildren: Jennifer Kearney Joyce (James) of Greensboro, Sarah Kearney White of Kernersville and Matthew James Crisson of Greensboro; five great-grandchildren: Alec, Marlee, Peyton, Delaney and Sydney Joyce; two brothers: Robert Faust (Alice), and Harry Faust (Janet), both of Lewes; and one sister: Norma Clark of Martinsburg, W.Va.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 14, at the Salem Funeral Home Main Street Chapel by Pastor Keith Speaks. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, at the funeral home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
