The Doug Strong 5K, held in memory of Doug White, broke loose from Irish Eyes in Lewes June 3 with 157 runners.
The race was won by Martin Rodriguez, 35, of Selbyville in a time of 18:06. Lara Moody, 43, from Upper Marlboro, Md., was the first woman in 21:39.
Mike Sewell, 47, was second overall and captured the male masters title in 18:56. Meryl Ludwig, 51, fully recovered from a car accident, was female masters winner in 22:46.
Bennett Brumbley, 9, of Laurel, ran a sizzling 22:16 to win his age group and placed 19th overall.

The 14th DFRC Blue-Gold All-Star 5K is set for Saturday, June 10, at Irish Eyes in Lewes with a start time of 8 a.m. Race-day registration is $25.
