Emma Ruth Edwards, enjoyed crafts
Emma Ruth Edwards, 92, of Lewes, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro. She was born Saturday, Nov. 15, 1924, in Lewes, daughter of the late Ernest and Alice Hudson Hazzard.
Following graduation from Lewes High School, Mrs. Edwards attended and graduated from Goldey Beacom Business School.
Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker for most of her life, busy raising her family and tending to the home. She enjoyed crafts, birdwatching, painting, reading, visiting with friends and family get-togethers.
Mrs. Edwards was predeceased by her husband Raymond, her daughter Janice Wood, and son-in-law Bill Wood. She is survived by four sons, Ronald and wife Rachael, Dale and wife Teresa, Donald and wife Connie, and Roger and wife Lynne; 12 grandchildren, Alice, Doug, Scottie, John, Tammy, Ray, Sandy, Jodie, Donald, Jill, Carla, and Bryan; 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 11, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Conley's Chapel Cemetery, Lewes.
