Erica L. Roberts, cherished daughter, mother

Erica L. Roberts, 43, of Milford, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, after a brief illness at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Born Oct. 20, 1981, in Chestertown, Md., she is survived by her sons, Oran and Aidan Crossan; her parents Jeffery Roberts and Bonnie, and Cindy Forestieri and John; grandmother, Judy Jackson; and two bonus sisters, Shannon and Alicia. She was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Erica was preceded in death by her uncle,  Allen Bowlin; aunt, Margie Gately; great-grandfather, Cliff Kershaw; grandparents, Gerald Roberts, Nancy Reynolds, and Donald and Mary Bowlin.  

Erica was a safety inspector at Perdue in Milford and was very proud of this position and the responsibility of keeping her coworkers safe.

Erica spent her first six years in Rock Hall, Md., where she learned how to fish and crab in her favorite little water town. She spent her next 12 years in the Cape Henlopen School District, where she graduated, and later from basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. Erica was a survivor who blazed many trails in her short life. Her battles were steep and furious. She loved deeply with her entire heart. She was a beautiful mother to Oran and Aidan. Erica loved them and was very proud to be their mother. She loved every furry creature she laid eyes upon. Her Australian shepherd, Chewy, will miss her immensely. We will be lost without her forever.

Celebration of Life services officiated by Dennis Forney will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
