Erin Mayo places in top five at North American Irish Dance Championships
Lewes youth is Mid-Atlantic Regional champion

Erin Mayo, 10, of Lewes competed in the 2022 North American Irish Dance Championships July 1-5 in Montreal, Canada. Mayo finished with a Top 5 podium placement of fourth place in her age group among top competitors from Europe, Canada, Mexico and the U.S.
Her placement qualifies her to return to Montreal to represent the McGough Academy, Lewes, Delaware and the U.S. in the 2023 World Championships.
Mayo is also the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Regional Champion and third-place finisher at the 2021 North American Irish Dance Championships. Mayo dances for the McGough Academy, which offers classes in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Puerto Rico.
