About five months after announcing it was coming to town, First State Brewing Company has revealed its Rehoboth Beach location is opening Monday, March 24.
“We’re incredibly excited to announce the grand opening of our new Rehoboth location will be next Monday, March 24. We will not be accepting reservations. Just show up,” reads the March 17 announcement on the company’s Facebook page.
Founded in 2020 by Paul Hester, the Middletown-based tap house and kitchen announced it was coming to town in late October.
The space in The Shops at Sea Coast Plaza has been home to TGI Fridays, which closed in July 2019, and The Pond, which moved from downtown Rehoboth Beach in early 2021 before closing in September 2023.
The space is about 6,270 square feet in size and has an occupant load inside of 228.
Grand opening week hours for First State Brewing, 19266 Coastal Hwy., are 5 to 11 p.m., Monday and Tuesday; 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; and 11:30 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday.
