Frances ‘Franny’ Morrow, full of wisdom

Frances "Franny" Morrow, 93, of Lewes passed away at her home Monday, May 27, 2019. She was born March 6, 1926, in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Michael Joseph McGarrity and Fanny (Duffy) McGarrity.

The love of Franny's life was her husband Jimmy. Together they raised four children. Beginning in the 1950s, she worked as a medical office manager. Ahead of her time, she balanced work and home life seamlessly. She was dedicated to her family. Franny was kind, compassionate, giving, supportive, fun, quick-witted and full of wisdom. She connected with people in a way that created a lasting bond. She will be dearly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morrow was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Morrow; and two brothers: Michael and James McGarrity. She is survived by four children: J. Kevin Morrow and his wife Denise of Verona, Pa., Maureen Syntax of Lewes, Michael Morrow and his wife Cindy of Atglen, Pa., and Stephen Morrow of Lancaster, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Gina, Brittany, Vincent, and K. Michael, Michael, Lauren, and Brandon; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, Pa. Interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Morrow's name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
