Frank A. Robinson, loved gardening

December 18, 2019

Frank A. Robinson, known by most of his friends as “Jack,” 88, passed away in the care of Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Millsboro Monday, Dec. 16, 2019.

He was born June 5, 1931, to the late George E. and Ethel Timmons Robinson in Milford.  He married his wife Mildred in 1949.  Over the years he worked at Mitchell’s Hatchery as a feed mill operator, and then worked and retired as a records custodian for M&T Bank.  He loved walking, gardening, tending flowers and vegetables and selling mums. With his wife they “put up pepper relish” and pickled beets.  Jack was a quiet, yet strong man who was devoted to his family.  If his son or grandkids needed anything, he would get it.

Jack is survived by his son, Roger Hearn (Jacquelyn) of Delmar; three grandchildren: Darren Hearn (Sheri); Brian Hearn Sr. (Krista) and Mathew Hearn; and five great-grandchildren: Brian Hearn Jr., Erika Hearn, Alexis Hearn, Kirra Hearn and Kevin Hearn.  Also surviving are a niece: Gail Carmean; and a nephew: Jim Robinson.  In addition to his parents and wife, Mildred, Jack was preceded by his sister: Betty Morris.

A funeral service will be held at Watson Funeral Home in Millsboro, Monday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m.  Friends may call for viewing and visitation one hour prior, from 10 till 11 a.m.  Evangelist Barry Townsend will officiate.  Interment will follow at St. George’s United Methodist Church Cemetery in Clarksville.  Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Blackwater Fellowship Church, PO Box 549, Frankford, DE  19945.
