A Frankford man died May 4 following a single-vehicle fatal crash near Gumboro.
The crash happened at 7:08 a.m. when police said the Fernando Fernandez, 22, was driving a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS southbound on Parker Road, approaching a sharp curve north of Firemans Road. Police said the Toyota was speeding and ran off the east edge of the roadway after failing to negotiate a curve in the road. The car then overturned several times in an open field, police said, and Fernandez was ejected.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was closed for about three hours while the investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway.
