Friends of Cape Henlopen bird seed orders due Sept. 30

September 18, 2024

The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park members are accepting bird seed sale orders through Monday, Sept. 30.

Premium selections to attract and nourish backyard birds include various types of sunflower seeds, peanuts, thistle, safflower, suet and a selection of wild bird seed mixes. There are more than 17 choices as to variety and size of bag. Patrons can also purchase seed to donate directly to the park, helping support local wildlife through the winter.

Items will be available for pickup from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 19, at Cape Henlopen State Park’s maintenance garage. Friends volunteers will be on hand to load seed orders into people’s vehicles.

Order forms are available at the park office and the Seaside Nature Center, and at friendsofcapehenlopen.org for easy ordering from home. Prices are listed on the form. Any Friends member is eligible for a 10% discount.

Send the completed form along with a check to: Birdseed Sale, c/o FOCHSP, P.O. Box 132, Nassau, DE 19969.
