October 16, 2023

A group of 84 golfers gathered at Mulligan's Pointe Sept. 18 to participate in the second annual tournament hosted by Joynt Physical Therapy in support of Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding.

A resounding success, the event raised more than $12,500 for the nonprofit organization that provides equine-assisted therapy to children and adults with disabilities.

Hosting golfers of all skill levels, the tournament teed off early in the morning and featured various contests to add an extra layer of excitement. After the tournament, there was a luncheon with awards, silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle that allowed participants additional opportunities to contribute to the worthy cause.

Bryan P. Peden, DPT, founder of Joynt Physical Therapy, expressed his gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support. He said, "We are thrilled to see the incredible turnout for our fundraising golf tournament. It means so much to us to witness our community come together to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. We are extremely proud to support Southern Delaware Therapeutic Riding, an organization that brings joy and healing to so many."
