Gorecki-Hubric wedding annnounced

Allison Louise Gorecki and William Carl Hubric II were united in marriage June 25, 2022, at Lighthouse Cove Event Center in Dewey Beach. 

Pastor Josh Bell, a longtime family friend, officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

Ally is the daughter of John and Susie Gorecki of Milton. Will is the son of Bill and Kathy Hubric of New Milford, Conn.

Ally wore a beautiful gown by Martina Liana from Claire’s Fashions in Wilmington. Her bouquet consisted of seasonal wildflowers arranged by Floral Inspirations in Lewes.

Longtime best friend of the bride Shanna Farlow McKinney of Lewes was the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Maren Wood of Wilmington, close friend of the bride; Megan Richter of Georgetown, close friend and extended family of the bride; Claire Jones of Belle Mead, N.J., cousin of the bride; sister-in-law of the bride Allie Richter Gorecki of Cornelius, N.C.; Jackie Manuele of Lewes, close friend of the bride; Courtney Norris of Wilmington, close friend of the bride; and Jennifer Alexander of Salisbury, Md., cousin of the bride.

Best friend of the groom and college roommate Chris Cusack of Portland, Conn., served as best man.

Groomsmen were Garret Strol of New Milford, close friend of the groom; Matt Azevedo of Brookfield, Conn., close friend of the groom; Adam Gorecki of Milton, brother of the bride; Andrew Gorecki of Cornelius, N.C., brother of the bride; Tom Hubric of Mohnton, Pa., cousin of the groom; Bill Cassel of New Milford, close friend of the groom; and close friend Brendan McKinney of Angola.

Grandparents of the bride are Ronnie and Patricia Cain of Salisbury, and Joanne Gorecki of Jupiter, Fla., escorted by Scott Jones of Belle Mead, uncle of the bride.

Beverly Ward of Alexandria, Va., great-aunt of the groom, was escorted by cousins of the groom Taner and Gavin Prestholdt of Alexandria.

A reception was held following the ceremony at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center.

The bride is a 2016 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes. She is currently attending school working toward a nursing degree and plans to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She is employed as an optician at Simon Eye at several northern Delaware locations.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of New Milford High School in New Milford, and a 2011 graduate of Central Connecticut State University. He is employed as a lead fire stop technician at Environmental Services in New Castle.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., following the wedding. They reside in Newark.
