Grayrock appeal withdrawn in Sussex

An appeal of the Grayrock Preserve subdivision has been withdrawn by the Georgetown resident who filed the appeal over the Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission decision to grant preliminary approval of the community’s site plan. 

The appeal had been scheduled for the Tuesday, Jan. 30 Sussex County Council meeting. Now, the meeting will start at 12:30 p.m. in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. 

The appeal had been filed by William Sykes over the commission’s preliminary approval of the subdivision site plan application. Plans for the development include 94 lots on 48 acres off Wilson Road near Georgetown.

Included on the Jan. 30 agenda are discussions about voluntary school assessment and accessory dwelling units. Council will also hear a presentation regarding the Sussex County Rental Program and Chapel Branch Apartments off Dorman Road and Route 24.
