Hanlon-McConnell engagement announced

Ms. Carol O'Driscoll and Mr. Bruce Summer of Lewes are pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter Laura Grace Hanlon to Mr. Michael Jerome McConnell, both of Annapolis, Md.

The bride-to-be graduated Easton High School in 2001, attended Penn State University for a BS in kinesiology in 2005, and graduated John Hopkins University in 2007 with a BS in nursing. She is currently an RN in Neonatal Intensive Care at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Annapolis.

The groom-elect is the son of Jerry and Jane McConnell of Royal Oak, Md. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul High School, Easton, Md., in 2001. He graduated University of South Carolina with a BS in business in 2005, and American University with a master's in global and environmental policy in 2012. He is employed at Dominion Power as a project designer.

The couple will wed Nov. 9, 2012, in Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
