Harry K Foundation salutes chocolate crawl winners

Nearly 700 participants tasted their way through downtown Rehoboth Beach April 15 during the inaugural Harry K Foundation Chocolate Crawl. 

In all, 26 restaurants and retailers created bite-sized chocolate surprises such as candy, a variety of baked goods, cocktails, brews, coffee and ice cream, to name a few. Volunteers from the Village Improvement Association, the Harry K Foundation and the community assisted at each location to serve tasty treats to attendees.

Each crawler had one vote to select a favorite chocolate treat. Trophies were awarded for first, second and third places.

The 2023 winners are: first place, Blue Moon, Cookies and Creme Cheesecake with Chocolate Ganache and Coco Sea Salt Crumble plus a Death by Chocolate Martini; second place, The Ice Cream Store: Ice Cream Sundae with Accompanying Fun Homemade Treats; and third place, Coho’s Market: Chocolate French Macaron with a Cabernet Chocolate Ganache. 

Harry Keswani presented the trophies April 25 at the Harry K Jewelry Store, Atlantic Jewelry.

“Congratulations to the winners and to all the participants who worked so hard to create special chocolate tastes for all to enjoy! You made the Chocolate Crawl a great success,” said Keswani. “Because of your commitment and participation in this event, we will be able to reach even more children faced with food insecurities in Delaware.”
