Harvey, Revis-Plank win re-election in Milton
Incumbents Fred Harvey and Lee Revis-Plank were re-elected to three-year terms on Milton Town Council as a result of the town’s March 2 election.
Harvey and Revis-Plank won their seats in a tightly contested election. Revis-Plank was the high vote-getter with 305 total votes, with Harvey coming in second with 275. Erin Willis finished third with 251 total votes. In total, 440 voters cast ballots in the election.
Harvey said, “I thank the people. I’m glad to be a part of them and represent them.”
Revis-Plank, the town’s vice mayor, was visibly fighting back tears as she embraced Harvey in congratulations.
“It’s a little overwhelming,” she said. “I’m very happy. It’s a good confirmation that I’m doing a good job. It’s very energizing.”
Harvey said he wants to continue doing the work he has been doing on council since being appointed in 2022 to fill the remaining council term of John Collier after Collier was elected mayor. A lifelong resident of Milton, Harvey’s campaign pitch was aimed at his local ties, having spent his career working for Cape Henlopen School District.
During the campaign, Revis-Plank pitched her experience, both as a council member – she was elected to her first term in 2021 – and in the business world, having spent her career working at DuPont and Bank of America.
She said she would also like to continue the work she’s been doing on council, mainly in the realm of the town’s finances, working on improving the town’s parking situation and moving the town toward using solar energy.
