Hematologist oncologist joins Bayhealth team
Bayhealth Hematology/Oncology Associates recently announced the addition of hematologist and medical oncologist Vinay Edlukudige Keshava, MD.
Keshava joins a committed and compassionate team of clinicians caring for patients at the Bayhealth Cancer Institute.
Treating a variety of cancers and blood diseases within the Bayhealth Cancer Institute, Keshava comes to Delaware and to Bayhealth from Allegheny Health Network Medical Education Consortium in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he completed his hematology and oncology fellowship training and was chief fellow.
“Dr. Keshava is an excellent addition to the hematology and medical oncology team here at the Bayhealth Cancer Institute,” said Iftekhar A. Khan, MD, oncology services chief and medical oncology director at Bayhealth. “He brings a fresh perspective to cancer care, and is another trusted partner for our patients and community members facing a cancer diagnosis.”
Keshava earned his medical degree at Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and completed his internal medicine residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pa. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology. As a member of the Penn Cancer Network, Bayhealth is affiliated with a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
