Henlopen Acres hosts 10th annual Fourth of July parade
Kids, adults and pets dress up in patriotic-themed costumes as they walk around town

Henlopen Acres may be one of the smallest communities in the state, but it still knows how to show up big for the Fourth of July.
Hundreds of residents and visitors began a slightly muggy but still sunny July 4, with the 10th annual Henlopen Acres Independence Day Parade.
Participants, many dressed in the colors of Old Glory, gathered at the marina to walk, pedal or slowly motor about a one-mile loop. Following the parade, there were games and free ice cream from Cup ‘R Cone to help everyone cool down.
It may be hard to believe, but dad Gleb Drobkov managed to convince daughter Katherine to stop fussing and ride in the car.
Like a real crab in a real bushel basket, Yankee Doodle seemed a little apprehensive with all the attention his costume was getting.
