Hundreds of people turned out Dec. 4 for Rehoboth Beach Main Street’s annual Community Unity Dinner at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.
Bad Hair Day owner Lewis Drexel Davison was honored as 2022 Citizen of the Year. A 30-year business owner, Davison is also active in many local charities, boards and events.
A new award was also given out this year called the Main Street Champion of the Year. The award went to Rehoboth in Bloom, which is responsible for the large garden boxes throughout downtown and the new garden being installed in front of the Rehoboth Beach Museum.
Prior to the awards, there was a brief moment of silence for former Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company President Daniel Mitchell, who died Nov. 13.
Except for a brief hiatus, the Community Unity Dinner has been a Rehoboth Beach Main Street fundraiser since 1994. For more information on Rehoboth Beach Main Street, call 302-227-2772 or go to downtownrb.com.
