James Alan Boyle, self-employed contractor

James Alan “Jimmy” Boyle, 61 of Milford, formerly of Avondale, Pa., departed this earth and was welcomed into heaven Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Milford Memorial Hospital.

He was born in West Grove, Pa., the son of the late Thomas and Thelma-Mullen Boyle.  Jim’s ever-present charisma left a special impression on everyone he met, whether family, friend or complete stranger.  He worked as a maintenance supervisor for D’Amico Mushroom Co. in Avondale prior to becoming self-employed as a contractor.  Jim bravely served his country with the U.S. Navy Seabees in the Vietnam war.  Mr. Boyle was an involved member of many organizations including Mason Lodge 0545, Tall Cedars 22 and the Oak Orchard/Riverdale Post 28 American Legion.

More than anything, Jim loved and adored his family, wife, children and grandchildren. They were his pride and joy.  He coached his two sons in Little League baseball for 18 years.  Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved taking his family on adventures on his boat (Jimmy’s Dream).  Jim always rooted for Penn State and was no slouch on the dance floor.

Mr. Boyle is survived by his wife, Barbara “Bobbi” Jester  Boyle; sons, Jeff Boyle and fiancée Katie Bleiler and Mark Boyle and his significant other, Bernadette Beebe; step-children, Tammy Thomas and her husband Scott and A.J. Jester.   He is also survived by his sister Judy Widdis and husband Chuck; and brother Joey Boyle and his wife Audrey; and several nieces and nephews; and lastly his nine grandchildren whom he dearly loved:  Kaylee, Alex, Gabby, Dane, Tommy, Ethan, Andrew, Brendan and Eva.

Everyone is invited to visit with his family and friends from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 22, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State St., Kennett Square, Pa. Services and burial will held at a later date.
