James Zeus Adams, SOS lead singer

James Zeus Adams passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born Aug. 27, 1972, in New York City, the son of Idalie Adams and the late Jimmie Spheeris.

Jim’s passions in life were music, wood and animals. He may be best remembered as the lead singer in the local band SOS that was popular in this area in the 1990s and early 2000s.
 
Jim wed Alisa Ferencsik Adams June 26, 1999, on the beach at Cape Henlopen State Park.
 
Jim is survived by his wife, Alisa of Long Neck; his mother, Idalie Adams of Boynton Beach, Fla.; his brother, Will Adams of Stockholm, Sweden; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and beloved friends.
 
A Celebration of Life to remember Jim will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, at the home of his and Alisa’s longtime friends, Nate and Melissa Walker, Walker Farm, 37077 Walker Farm Road, Lewes. This is a private road off Robinsonville Road, look for the red barn.
