Joan F. Baughman, beautiful homemaker

Joan F. Baughman, 84, of Milford, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Milford Center, in Milford. She was born Thursday, Feb. 12, 1931, in Bryn Mawr, Pa., to Albert John and Margaret Elizabeth (Harbison) Frazer.

Mrs. Baughman was a beautiful homemaker who also enjoyed a career as a rental agent for Drexel Brook Apartments in Drexel Hill, Pa. She was a previous member and past deacon at the Riverview Presbyterian Church in Drexel Hill. Mrs. Baughman was an active member of Lewes Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and participated in the Kelly Class.

Mrs. Baughman's love for family was at the center of her life. She enjoyed spending weekends at the beach with her grandchildren and children. Mrs. Baughman never missed an opportunity to enjoy her grandchildren's concerts, track meets or recitals. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her beautiful flower beds. Mrs. Baughman had a great love for life and brought warmth to all she encountered.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Baughman was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter-in-law, Frani Baughman in March 2014; and her husband of 55 years, William James Baughman in November 2014.

She is survived by her four sons, Larry Baughman and his wife Leslie of Downingtown, Pa., Bill Baughman of Lewes, Glenn Baughman and his wife Joan of West Grove, Pa., and Jeff Baughman and his wife Rosemary of Lincoln; one daughter, Linda Baughman Lacey of Wilmington; 10 grandchildren, Heather Holajter and her husband Brian, Christopher Baughman and his wife Valerie, David Lacey, William Baughman, Lauren Baughman, Jacqlyn Baughman, Zachary Baughman, Joshua Baughman, Maddy Baughman and Rebekah Baughman; and five great-grandchildren, Mason, Cullen, Gabe, Aiden and Isabella; and a brother, Bruce Frazer and his wife Sandra of Sewell, N.J.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m., at Lewes Presbyterian Church, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow services in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations can be made to the Lewes Presbyterian Church Youth Group, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.
