Julianne Murray elected new head of state GOP
Former gubernatorial and attorney general candidate Julianne Murray was elected head of the Delaware Republican Party April 29 at the Delaware GOP State Convention in Dover.
Murray pledged to strengthen the party and work with every delegate in preparation for the 2024 elections.
“We must leave this convention united as a party. We can be bold. We can be outspoken. But we must be united,” she said in a statement released by the state GOP.
The Seaford resident is a partner in the law firm Murray, Phillips and Gay, and earned a J.D. from Widener Law School. Murray challenged every delegate to leave the convention committed to working together to make Delaware a better place to live, work and raise a family, the statement read.
Also elected to GOP positions were Jim Weldin of Newark as vice chair, Brandon Brice of Wilmington as party secretary and Ben Gregg of Hockessin as treasurer.
