Kaisy’s Delights, a high-end breakfast and lunch restaurant with strong European flair, has closed its Rehoboth Beach location in favor of a new location in downtown Millsboro.
Opened by Thierry and Nathalie Langer, Kaisy’s Delights, with its bright-pink and lime-green color scheme, has been located on the ocean block of Rehoboth Avenue since 2015.
The new location, 303 Main St., is the old Delaware Trust bank building built in 1904. It’s housed a number of dining establishments over the years – Luca Ristorante & Enoteca, The Pint and, most recently, Plate & Palette.
“When we learned it was available, we jumped at the chance,” said Thierry. “It’s a nice location, in a lovely historical building. It’s a wonderful match.”
Thierry said the menu will continue to feature food that represents the story of his life – his grandmother is from Poland, his dad is from Austria and he grew up in France.
“It’s like your grandmother is hosting you,” said Thierry. “Simple, but sophisticated.”
Thierry said they expect to open the Millsboro location in the second half of January.
The Langers opened a second location on Wescoats Corner, outside Lewes, in 2017. Thierry said that location will continue to serve as the company’s main location.
